I just installed Win 2000 to my AMD Duron Sony laptop and all seemed ok but it wont let me install my Office 2000
It says not a win32 appliication
I did have win me on it but it gave probs and i wasnt having much luck with repairing it or reinstalling it
I thought win 2000 professional would be better.
Can anyone advise me if there are any fixes
Thanks

Could the office disk be corrupted - damaged? It should install unless it was possibly a disk that came through sony and they tied it to the original system - though I doubt it.
It may be a problem with the win2000 install - you said the me system was not installing correctly. That may be hardware - hard disk or something. Do other apps install ok?
Did you format the drive?Nudge nudge, Wink wink, Say No More!0 -

Office 2000 has nothing to do with Sony.
During the installation everything appeared to go smoothly
O did convert the FAT16 to NTFS during the install
I dont know if that had anything to do with it.
I've used the office discs on other machines ok as wellIWasLookingBackToSeeIfSheWasLookinBackToSeeIfIWasLookinBackAtHer.....0
