another question.....

i asked a question on saturday about my daughers electric sockets in her new house - i nipped into letting agents on monday and raised my queries and they said that they would sort it. Since then my pregnant daughter got rushed into hospital with suspected blood clot on lung. nobody contacted us to tell us that works were going ahead but on going round tonight the works had been completed. on one had i am very pleased that the works have been carried out but on the other i am none to pleased that people have been in her house without the letting agents giving us any notice - are they right to have done this..??

No, I wouldn't have thought so - I wouldn't like it either. As usual, scumbag estate agents/letting agents taking liberties.

Hope your daughter gets well soon.

Seems they have sorted out the electrics pretty quick - that's scumbags for you.

Could it be that they phoned the house and got no answer? As you had stressed to them that the work was urgent they just got on with the job?

  • We never enter a property unless it's agreed beforehand, but we will if a tenant acts the fool for a GAS SAFETY CHECK, maybe were scumbags too.
