war pension for tax credit purposes

Hi my partner is now in recepit of a war pension he was injured in the army and is now unable to work due to this injury it it a non taxable pension which he receives as he is now class as disabled due to this injury I was just wondering do we need to declare this for tax credit purposes going by what it says on there website any war pension is disregarded?
