Just get a roll of roofing felt and a bag of 8mm nails, a tin of bitumen and felt it.
its not that heavy when spread out and will last ages.0 -
If the boards are removable, then I would have thought that the best way to fix rubber sheet/roofing felt/whatever would be to wrap it around the edges, then nail it on to the underside of the board. That way, you aren't puncturing holes that will let in water. If it sticks, force it.
If it breaks, well it wasn't working right anyway.0 -
Thanks for all the replies, some food for thought there. I'd have more options if not for the water repellent paint currently on the boards, the way they flex when moved (they're 9mm thick), and the need to keep them light enough for lifting by one person. (Also keeping costs minimal!) Might have to go for a compromise that won't last long but will give me time to work out how to do it right next time!0

the glass in glass fibre is for structural strength but it also acts as a structure for the resin to bond to and to provide the ability for roofs to flex. Most grp is a two stage process with resin/glass then a topcoat.
With waterproof paint on osb i would be worried that just the resin wouldn't bond to it.0
