Vokera Combi Boiler help please

Hello,
I am having a problem with my combi boiler and wondered if anybody could shed any light as I have phoned a local repair company who had never heard of this problem. Generally the heating and hot water are fine. However, when we go to have a shower or run a bath and turn the water on full power, the whole things locks out and needs to be reset. The guy I spoke to said it would cost £100-£200+ to fix but as he had no idea what the problem was I am a little dubious as £200+ is not within my budget right now. Any advice welcome. Thank you.
