Tax Credits Earnings Question

Hi, my husband has had his P60 from work for 13/14, and on checking my tax credits award letter, it says from april 2014 they will be making payments on an amount which is £1411 less than what he has actually earned. This is due to his work being in production and them being offered overtime throughout the year.
Can i ring tax credits now and give them the figures? we have incurred an overpayment in the past, and do not want this to happen again, but will they make me wait until the renewal packs are out until i can update them?
Many thanks in advance

hi, thanks for the reply, its really difficult to say for 14/15 as it all depends on what productions jobs they get etc, can i give them an estimate of the same sort of figure just to be on the safe side?
so if they dont update the figure will an overpayment occur? or will my telephone call now prevent that?Helen

Actually after 6th April the previous tax years income (so up to 5th April 2014) can't be updated until after the renewal has been received. You can update this new tax years income but not last yearSaving money like a trouper...0
