I saw this yesterday because my daughter had commented on the post. Basically the latest euro lottery winner from the uk is giving away money to anyone who supplies their email address... One of the things that stands out is the fact that he's giving away his money in dollars not pounds! He also refers to his accountant who makes sure that the money is sent out... But this so called accountant spelled cheque incorrectly, he spelt it check! I can't believe the amount of people falling for this! I commented on it voicing my concerns and was basically called stupid! So I removed my comment and blocked the user. Anyone else seen this on Instagram? Is it really another way for scammers to get hold of your details... I believe also he asks for 99 cents to process the payment!

I get emails every single day from people wanting to give me money, usually hundreds of thousands of pounds.
I always assume that other people are clever enough to realise they're not real. If i didn't, i'd be on here every day.0 -

The 'context' is that it is coming from an English accountant working for an English philanthropist in England.
So, yes, it is misspelled. There are two types of people in the world: Those that can extrapolate information.0 -

Yes, of course it is a scam but there are a lot of stupid people out there who will fall for it and I figure, what the hell? If they cough up 99c or they end up on some mailing list for specialist material of an adult nature featuring clowns well that's their lookout. Maybe it'll be a nice lesson for them?
