Have been generally worried for the past few months about the level of debt we are in, the length of time that it will take to clear, and also the fact that out kids are growing up fast and the University yeu have joined a really supportive threadars will be here soon.
Have also chased up all our card debts to check current balances are correct and in line with what our DMP says and researched the forums for tips on making offers, something we hope to doe periodically over the next 5 years.
Feel better about things already
Welcome, that is a fantastic start - you have joined a really supportive thread (although the last few days have been very quiet due to people moving, going on holiday etc) but you will find a wealth of advice, tips and support so please stick with us and share

Afternoon all :0)
Penny pincher here again!
Just come back from town. I had a lift both ways so saved £3.10 on bus fare or shoes if I had walked.
I am going to have a sort out of pegs for washing line. I splashed out £1.50 on 60 extra strong pegs for the clothes line.
I have been doing some research on pegs after it came to light in a Free kindle book I was reading. Some pegs are useless in a strong wind and some of mine slide about on the line.
Well, my washing goes on the line every day it is not raining.
While I was out the puppy chewed up my new HM peg bag as Dear husband had not used its ribbon to tie the coathanger hook to the line when he was in charge of putting the 2nd lot of washing out.
Not a big deal, just annoying.
Went into Iceland for this weeks shopping £61.54.
I have also spent £15 in tesco a few days ago.
So £76.54 in total with some shopping carrying over into next week.
Looked in x2 CS. To see if they had any material worth cutting up for crafting. I came away with a pair of summer curtains instead.
White with summer flowers £3.99
Called into Boots to use my FREE coupon = Always dailies 32 pack £2.65 or FREE with my coupon :0)
Cashed in my points on x2 diffrent survey sites this morning
I asked for £10 Amazon voucher and £10 M&S voucher.
Need to put my code in for Andrex puppy points - on todo list.
I have over 200 puppy points. I do not know what to spend them on so just keep collecting.
I wish they did some gifts for the dog. Rope toy or collar and lead.
I ordered the Andrex calendar @ Christmas.
Dinner = sliced turkey. Roast potatoes and veg.
So I had better pop off and get the spuds in the oven :0)
Have a penny pinching evening everyone.
Ziggy have a relaxing bath with candles and music... take care. The secret to success is making very small, yet constant changes.:)0 -
Well done everyone! You've all helped me keep my cash in my purse today and motivated me to do the same tomorrow!0

Hmmm , i find myself lacking oomph to be doing any money saving - its very hard work changing bad habbits - i slipped at the weekend, was my daughters birthday and i over spent on a trip out
But today i have tried
*Today i took my own lunch and refilled my water bottle
*Cancelled my mbna cc as i balanced transfered to a 0% - done this before but i then spent on it :-/
*set up new DD for my 123 account to start getting cashback
*used a clothes dryer ( which i had to buy - but an investment ) rather than the tumble dryer
*bought a fitness dvd to replace gym membership0 -
Hello you lovely people. Today I have;
sown loads of vegetable seeds
cleaned out the fish pond
Been really supportive to a good friend (ok, not DFW but made her feel good and thereby myself!)
Masses of washing line dried
Sorted through fridge and used up anything about to go out of date
Displayed a free bunch of daffs from my garden that are hidden away and never seen
Aired the house by opening the windows in each room slightly for an hour or so thereby reducing any condensation issues (which I don't have as I always do this) !
Well that was me this tuesday, roll on wednesday0
