    Hi everyone,

Best wishes for JO and Molly and anyone else in need.

I've been swimming and walked for half an hour this morning so I'm cream crackered. I forgot to take my underwear with me so I had to go commando on the way back.

I scrubbed the kitchen floor yesterday so it's no longer sticky, it's embarrassing how filthy it was, despite being mopped every week, there's no substitute for elbow grease I suppose, I just don't think my knees and hips can stand it very often.

So I'll have a fairly lazy day - I just want to clear out a coupe of drawers in the dining room and do some more quilting.

    Have a good day everyone.

    Morning all,

Best wishes to JackieO and Molly hope the recovery is going well x
    Camelot feel better soon.
Moorhen, sorry to hear your sad news x
My leg is much the same, I'm stretching it as much as I can but I suspect it's going to be a long job. Still don't fancy another op as I've seen some bad results whilst researching. I think it just takes time a hum
Hubby at work and dd has her exam this afternoon. She amazes me as a single mum, she spent last night making 35 Batman invitations for DGS birthday along with trying to revise for this exam she's a one woman whirlwind. My lot got shop bought ones!
Youngest DS is working 3 until 10.
I need to pop and get some milk at some point.
Just dh and I for tea, nothing complicated that's for sure.
I've had my hair cut short and I'm loving it, it takes two minutes to dry, definitely saving me some time x

    Morning All
I don't think the weather can decide what to do today, one minute its windy and rainy, the next it's blue skies. Glad I decided not to hang my washing out this morning.
I have now been and caught up on what I missed over the weekend - and then forgot some bits sorry!!
Hope JackieO & Molly are both doing OK and are being well looked after!!
Hester - I hope it all goes well for your MIL today & your DD is alright!
Camelot - Oh no :( Poor you, I think there is something going round at the moment, feel better soon!!
At work 9am-5pm again today, as per usual it is quiet and I have so much I could be doing at home  I won't moan though as I know many people would wish to be able to have a job & many my age are out of work so I should count my blessings!
We are having mini toad in the hole's tonight with veg and mash and I have the last of the lasagne I made Friday for my lunch today.
OH got stuck working quite late last night as they had to replace brakes on a lorry so quite a big job!! I walked up to check he was OK and I made his sandwichs for today so he could just have tea and a drink when he came back home. We are looking at holidays for this year but not sure where we fancy going - he offered that we could sleep in the spare room for a week with the heating cranked up so it felt like being abroad :rotfl:
Managed to catch up on some of my housework last night, just need to do the bathrooms either tonight or tomorrow and do the ironing. I would like to try and get time to go around and wipe all the skirting boards too as it's about due again - see thing's like this I could be doing too rather than sat at work staring at a screen & in to space hoping we get busier...sorry said I wouldn't moan :o

TTFTM - have you started with your ebaying again yet? I have the pile ready, just need to sit and upload. Hoping for another free listing weekend to come again when I do it.
Made another arm knit scarf last night, this one is going in to my Christmas present box, will be making a knitted head band to match as I think I have just enough wool in that colour left.
I also amended the arm knitted scarf I did for myself and I much prefer it now :)
My OH said you haven't started Christmas already it's only April, worse than last year :rotfl::D I did say it was only odd bits if I saw them ;) love to be organised.
Right time to try and find something to occupy me at work.
Have a lovely day whatever you are doing.
    Happy Tuesday :j

Christmas is the most magical time of the year :santa2:

  • Beautiful day here today and a good breeze so the washing should dry quickly.

I hope all goes well today Molly (((hugs))) and I hope that you are on the mend JackieO (((hugs)))

We are going to Bletchley when DH comes home because DD needs some stuff from Sports Direct and I want to spend my TK Maximus gift card that I got for my birthday :)
It is DD's day off, after this she has to work sixteen days straight without a break. I do hope that she doesn't burn out, but she loves her zoo job and I think if they offered her a permanent full time job she would take it.

Gammon Mash and salad for dinner I need to get some more if it is still on offer in Aldi tomorrow. DH is going to take me shopping when he gets home from work, so it won't be until the afternoon which is good because I have a hospital diabetic clinic appointment at 12.15pm

Moorhen I was shocked to hear about Peaches Geldof as well, she was the same age as my daughter and she has left two children, just as her mother did :(

    BFN x

Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker Xmas Saver!
    Afternoon all,
Hope you're all well, hugs to those who need them.
Been a very long time since I posted on here, can't believe I've been in my house six months now. My well laid plans to be fly lady and old style didn't quite work out, shock!
Have gone through a few changes since I last posted, put on a stone, split with my partner and had a change of role at work. Had a couple of weeks to feel bad about being single again and now time to take control so I decided to pop back on here. Not sure how regularly I'll be on but at the very least I want to get back to flying!
I did pick up some good habits after the move though, I do a lot more cooking (well I was never a convenience food girl but I have a lot more variety and space!) and even started making my own bread.

Today I'm stopping off at a salon to get my brows tidied up (have really let myself go over the last 12-18 months) then off home where I'm going to clean the bathrooms. Have some DIY jobs outstanding in the main bathroom which I'm hoping to work on tonight too.
Spent yesterday lunchtime comparing car insurance and can save myself about £40 a year (renewal was £232), the second best on the comparisons has called to ask if we can talk and try to beat the best. I asked them to call me this evening so hopefully I can get this sorted tonight (doesn't renew till the 22nd). No CT to pay this month due to the change of circumstance but the money was in the account and can pay for insurance so don't even need to touch my savings :j

Hope you're all enjoying some blue skys today

Hoping JackieO and Molly are both on the road to recovery by now.
LW do you still have your princesses?
Yes; they're having a long holiday, they'll be here til 21st April.:T They're very good little girls really; and threading the handles of their extender leads through a webbing belt that's big enough to go over my coat spares my wrists. They met Pepi, a Yorkie who lives nearby, and a Labradoodle named Dylan when we went out earlier, and they were extremely good. Pandy always barks at other dogs at first, but she's "all mouth and no trousers" and makes friends nicely when she's had her little bark. Patsy just loves everyone - little tart!:D
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

    Afternoon All

Well I am still jiggered after Saturday, might be quicker to say what does not ache, than what does. :A:A. Shows how unfit I am :o. Had 10.5 hrs Sunday night, still napped in the afternoon. Had another early night last night, managed to stay awake today, maybe cos I haven't sat for too long. Off to see my youngest GNephew shortly who is 5 today and a little star.:D. He wanted me to come and see him for his birthday, but we had to bring Skye.:o

The honeymooners have flown off today, first stop Miami, then fly to Belize, and on to Guatemala, and back to Belize and eventually back to Miami. Staying the the Coppola Hotels, one by a Lake, another in the Rain Forest, and finally by the Sea in Belize City. Not a bit of OS in sight!! DS has organised and booked it all himself, saving quite a bit, and being able to select rooms, etc., which travel agents did not offer. DIL :T didn't know exactly where they were going to doing until either last night or this morning, when he gave her a booklet showing what they were doing. She was delighted when I spoke to her at the airport this morning. They had put several extra trips and meals, etc., on their present list, so we decided to give them a flight over the rain forest and the Mayan ruins, as a present from both parents. I just had a message which said, they were boarding, and would talk again at midnight , think they will be lucky if we are awake.

Had a word from Molly's daughter who said Mum was OK, Dad said she was a bit sore and unhappy, and she would see her tomorrow, so will keep you posted, shame we didn't get a link to JackieO's DD's. Finger crossed and ((hugs)) to them both.

Skye has coped OK with being left, and was as good as gold they said.

    ((Hugs)) Spoons, etc., all round
    Take care everyone. DG

    Hi all
    WB LindsayJane
Best laid plans part 2, I've managed to get some washing dry on the line. I've dropped hubby at work, collected DD2, the children & the dog, dropped the DGD's with their other grandparents, dropped DD2 at hospital, brought DGS & Mad dog home with me, we've been shopping for milk & bread, taken mad dog for a walk, DGS might stay the night, depends on how things go with DD2.
Not heard anything about MIL yet, but not really expecting to hear til tomorrow. I don't think I'll manage to get the sewing machine out today either.
    Have a good afternoon everyone.
    Hugs Hester
ps thanks for letting us know about Molly, DG

    Evening all,

Glad to have news of Molly, hope JackieO is ok.

So sad about Peaches Geldof. The family seem to lose a lot of loved ones.

Been out for a walk this morning then popped into town to the bank and bought some more large packs of spices and herbs from the ethnic shop. Nice stuff in there but the staff are so miserable!

Rang up to find out how much extra to put DS2 on my car insurance. OMG I needed a lie down after the chap told me: My annual premium is £98, and to put him on till July is an extra £1700!! If I start again (costing me £50 admin charge) with a different insurer its £900 for the year. I knew it would be expensive, but really? I think it's taking the mick!

Anyway, looking forward to the final of the Sewing Bee tonight :)

    Enjoy your evening.
