Rule of thumb costs for floor tiling?

Hi,

Buying a new build and want to arrange for kitchen, bathroom, ensuite and downstairs wc floors to be tiled. Will be getting a quote from builder as well as sourcing our own quotes for comparison but wondered whether anyone on here knows of any rough "rules of thumb" we could use based on a materials/labour split?

Approximate floor measurements below if this helps...

Kitchen/Dining - 25m2 (this is whole area to once kitchen units taken into account area to tile will be less than this.

Downstairs WC -2M2

Bathroom - 3M2

Ensuite - 3M2

Any guidance anyone can provide, particularly if you've had experience of doing this on a new build, would be much appreciated!

Thanks

Cost of materials very much depends on what you to spend. You can pay £10/sq m of tiles or £200/sq m, depends on your budget. The tiler I get to do work for me charges £20/sq m + adhesives/grout to fit.

Agreed, a lot depends on the cost of tiles, I had my kitchen floor tiled (19m2) and the bathroom (3m2), builder charged me £900 excluding materials.

I should add the builder moved the bath and basin around and tiled the bathroom walls also.

Guess it depends on the area you live in also regarding cost of builder.

Probably spent around £700 on materials including tiles.

What would the tiles be going onto? If there's prep, or a more solid subfloor, needed before the tiles are laid, then that'll make a big difference to the price.

I recently paid £1200-odd to tile my kitchen/diner (think it was around 19 sq feet, or was that meters, I forget!). Not good with measurements lol. He laid some 'DITRA' orange underlay under the tiles.

Cost around £700 for the tiles I think.

    In London.

There's roughly 10 square feet to the square metre...

    19 square feet is roughly 4ft by 5ft or 6ft by 3ft.

Ta for trying, Adrian lol. According to some old property details I found, the size is:

DINING ROOM 13'7" X 11'2" OPEN PLAN TO KITCHEN
    KITCHEN 7'8" X 6'5"
    UTILITY ROOM 7'10" X 4'

(The utility room is not separate and opens straight onto the kitchen and it's now more or less one room, although the square arch/maybe doorway into utility area remains.)

It's all basically one open plan area which has now all been tiled (ceramic).
