Sadly you don't and I suspect you never will with any amount of explanation.0 -
ThumbRemote wrote: »No, we don't. But I am working on the basis that the OP gave a reliable account of proceedings. As such, when they say "My cousin had ordered a gluten free pizza from a local place" I work on the basis that the cousin had, indeed, ordered a gluten free pizza.
On the other hand you have gone on and on about the menu, you've said that the cousin was "leaving it to chance", wasn't "thoughtful towards her guests" and knew "there's no GF on the menu". You've made every one of those up, with no basis on what the OP posted. Essentially you've made up a whole fictional scenario - seemingly just so you can criticise someone other than the shop. Why would you do that?
Proves the point entirely.Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0 -
If I were a Doctor and had been given the responsibility of ordering pizza for 'people attending a family event' (which indicates - at least to me - that there were a number of people there) and knowing full well that within that family group there were 2 people with specific dietary requirements, I'd have made damn sure that the place I ordered pizzas from actually did do Gluten Free pizza.
And I don't mean just asking over the phone when giving what was probably a large order.
But then again, I'm a firm believer in personal accountability.
In fact, if I were the OP or his Dad I would probably have confirmed it myself with the takeaway.0 -

Now come on Pollycat, stop being argumentative for the sake of it, tut, tut.

You know that forum law where as soon as some mentions Hitler/The Nazis they have immediately lost the argument? I think ThumbRemote has just set a new standard to losing an argument on a forum lol! :rotfl:0
