I sent a letter to HSBC with the amount im claiming including the statements. Asking them for £80.00. They sent me a letter back saying:
I understand and appriciate your request for charges levied against the credit card. The office of fair trading has published its findings from thier enquiry into defult charges on credit card. HSBC has carefully considered the OFT publication and does not accept its findings. However the OFT investesgation has led to a change in the market pratice and HSBC has therfore decied for commercial reasons and in the interest of our customers, to reduce the credit defult charges. These changes do no affect charges that have already been applied. Accordingly i regret that we are not prepared to make ay refund of defult charges or provide any compensation payments. I hope we have been able to clarify HSBCs posistion on credit card charges.
So now what do i do? Any help would be much appricated.
