Credit Score Problem

I recently had two credit cards both maxed out and have just paid both off in full. I have just signed up to Experian to check my credit score as was declined for finance for a TV and the score is showing very poor with 1 missed payment (yet card was paid off in full a week after min. payment was due) and one repayment agreement (for one of the credit cards). I spoke to the bank who said it is updated monthly and should show as cleared on my credit file the beginning of May. Will this boost my credit score when everything is shown as settled? Thanks

It might, but it's irrelevant. It's your credit file that matters, not the score.0

Your "credit score" problem is the fact that credit scores do not exist and you are quoting a worthless pointless number.0

Your history over 72 months determines the way your application is processed. Not just one month. In particular the last.0

Wait six months and then apply for the TV again. One month is not going to make a massive difference to your score. The thing with getting credit and making your files look better is that you have to patient.0
