Toner for Samsung ML-1610 printer

Options
I'm looking for toner for my Samsung ML-1610 laser printer. Got it after Martin said they were going cheap but the toner's coming in at £35 or more. Anyone know where I can get one for less than this? Don't want to re-fill it myself, done this before and it was a nightmare.

Cheers

The Toner cart includes the drum and can be quite dearer, not had to replace mine yet, have had the ML-1610 a while now, didn't notice Martin's report.

I'd be interested in websites with good prices on the toner cart too, as I've seen them over £35, I can get the toner itself at a decent price, but there will come a point when the cart itself gets worn and needs replacing.
It's PAC not PAC Code, it's MAC not MAC Code, it's PIN not PIN Number, it's ATM not ATM Machine, it's LCD not LCD Display, it's DVD not DVD disc... It's no one not noone, It's a lot not alot, It's got not gotten... Panini is the plural of panino - there is no S!!

The toner for my laser printer retails at £69.99. Cheapest I can find is about £10 off. So I now use Cartridge World. You take your old toner along and exchange it for a refilled one in a box. It cost me £35 for my toner. https://www.cartridgeworld.co.uk

Granted they are not the cheapest but I think they're worth it for the "instant" high street transaction.

I just have the toner and re-fill myself, but there is going to come a time when the whole cart will need replacing.

  • In the states, I found a few sites that will sell it for around $45.

I bought this same printer from Fry's last year, and got some toner from 4inkjets.com. They usually have some coupons too, heres a 10% off one.

I also bought this printer when it was going cheap.

When the original toner ran out, I bought a new one from Novatech for around £37 but when it ran out paid £25 to have it refilled at my local Cartridge World instead of paying an extra £10 for new toner. Probably get more in a refilled one anyway!!

It gets confusing when people mix up toner with the actual cart.

Yes, carts come with the toner in them, but when you say toner, this just means the powder itself.

I bought the toner itself for a few quid, I'll re-fill the carts myself.

You can get bottles of replacement toner for around £10 from: http://www.consumablecafe.co.uk/

My son bought some for his ML-2510 from there and said refilling was a doddle.

Yes, I've used Consumer Café in the past, though there was somewhere cheaper last time, since replacing my HDD, I've lost the details.
