Santander - cheque paid in - how long til I can withdraw? (HAVE read T&Cs)

Am I missing something were? When I want money out of my isa, I just do it over the automated service, over the phone, as a transfer - and it's free. Why would Santander want to charge you £30?
My ISA isn't with Santander, sorry if I didn't make that clear.
My ISA is with Nottingham BS. I deposited a cheque from the Nottingham into my Santander 123 current account.
The Nottingham said there would be a £30 charge for a transfer - which was about 60% of the interest I'd earned for my year's savings so I thought sod that!What will your verse be?

Just an update. Paid in Monday and it's available now, 10PM on Thursday. So only took them four working days (including Monday).What will your verse be?
