I'm sure someone said above (maybe) but I think you need to pay a recommended local all-of-market IFA for best advice on this.
You (probably) get what you pay for!Friendly greeting!0 -

Not sure what your problem is with that conversation , I found it informative and on topicThe word "dilemma" comes from Greek where "di" means two and "lemma" means premise. Refers usually to difficult choice between two undesirable options.
Often people seem to use this word mistakenly where "quandary" would fit better.0 -
and your contribution is....

well if you start thread looking four advice , you get some but then it ends up in an unseemly squabble between two or there posters ,what are you going to think?Fortunately I think i have what i want by looking at other avenues and speaking on the phone to a very helpful IFA for whom there was nothing in it except ,maybe, in 3 years timeArgentine by birth,English by nature0 -
If you would like your money to keep up with inflation you could consider a small basket of investment trusts.
There are several with histories of increasing their dividend EVERY year for upto 45 years.
I jsut posted elsewhere on here about two.
The reason I mention them though although this won't be the highest initial income you could get it should keep pace with and beat inflation so it will grow in real terms to become worth more, just as your other pensions/annuities don't.
City of London has increased its dividend every years for 46 years and is up over 200% in 10 years, and has a management fee comparable to trackers of 0.35%. Some stuff on it here City of London Investment Trust.
Scottish Investment Trust (link to an article) - 29 year record of increasing the div by at least 7% per year (for 29 years) & it's grown 175% in 10yrs.0 -
