Awww Goldie you are going off into the sunset. I hope to see you around. You have inspired me so much with your diary. I have loved watching you achieve your dreams and hope you do pop in from time to time Thank you for all your encouragement, sharing and fun along the way :)
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!

  • GG, I have lurked on your diary for such a long time and you have inspired me no end.

I wish you all the very best of luck and thank you for the inspiration you have given. I am only 31, and hope my planning and hard work now will pay off so I can enjoy an early retirement and some fabulous cruising.

GG I probably need to do the same on my diary - I still come on here and read & post but feel I've run the course with my diary.

Good luck and thanks for all the fun and support.

A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

GG I have loved lurking and reading your diary. I may retire this year or next and have found your diary so helpful in making me think and reflect on what I may want to do, prepare etc so thank you so much.

Have a wonderful cruise next year and very best wishes for the future. It would be lovely to hearabout your cruise if you had time. Happy 2017
  • Very good luck for your future plans. I have really enjoyed your posts. ThaNk you for sharing with us. X
Paid off mortgage nine years early in 2013. Now picking and choosing our work to fit in with the rest of our lives!
Still thrifty though, after all these years:D
  • GoldieGirl, we've shared some frustrations, loved seeing how you adapted to retirement and really appreciated your views.

Take care and hope you pop back to lurk. I think there's a few of us in the same boat but 2017/18 will be big years and like Gally, I may kick my diary back to life until we're done.

    Very best wishes Tilly xxx
