also, till spits for £x off £xx spend say exclude spirits and liqueurs (but beer and wine still ok).


Not seen any other supermarkets having any kind of restrictions ....so far.

I discovered the 'no coupon on spirits'; rule in a Sainsbury's recently. I walked out, leaving my shopping behind.

It's bad enough that Sainsbury's is already the most overpriced major supermarket, without it trying to turn into nanny.

None of the other supermarkets have gone that far, think they are over- interpreting the minimum unit price rule a bit too much.

Sorry, the people I know who drink spirits vs. beer or wine? The spirit drinkers don't drink as much! Yes you have the "shot" culture but at least be fair and have the issue with the whole lot!
