Help,
I've Just been given a parking ticket in ASDA car park for not displaying my disabled "Blue badge" in a disabled parking bay. A genuine moment of forgetfulness. The ticket was issued by SMART PARKING also trading as "Town and City Parking" I have read various threads to ignore the ticket, is this for real? should I appeal? or should i Pay? any advice will be appreciated
ps. this is not a pay park.
Thanks
Derek

If the car is yours, wait for the notice to keeper to arrive in between days 29-56 after ticketing, then appeal if you are in England or Wales , ignore if elsewhere. If they reject then use the second stage popla appeals to rid yourself of this.
Whilst smart are toothless and do not do court, it's best to appeal to rid yourself of this matter. Look at the sticky threads by coupon mad and it runs you through everything. When posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. Can you tell us where you found the threads which told you to ignore and whether they are recent threads?
As you're a newbie why not read the 'Newbies - read this first' thread at the top of the page and ask any specific questions you have around what you find in there?0 -
threads are from MSE 2013 March - june0

you should only look at threads in the last 6 to 8 months really
and you have 2 threads now on the same topic

I am not being sarcastic here,, but you read threads from only 2014, as we are actually in that year now, and a lot of advice from early 2013 has been supersededWhen posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.

You don't say WHERE this parking ticket was issued. Was it England/Wales or Scotland/NI? (The advice differs depending on region).0

I would also have a word with ASDA showing them your blue badge and ask them to lean on the PPC.0
