Cat flap question

We fitted a cat flap awhile ago - the type with a magnet to prevent us being overrun with all the cats in the neighbourhood!

Our cat then didn't go out for a while for various reasons, and the magnet for his collar has got put in a 'safe place'.... which obviously we now can't find.

The cat flat can be unlocked so he can go out without the magnet, but he needs it to get back in.

Does anyone know if we can get replacements for these, and where from? Or are there any other ideas please?

Check on the manufacturer's website. It should be fairly easy to get replacements. Our cats lost loads of them before we changed to a microchip catflap (that was one of the reasons, lol).

We've got a magnetic cat flap (Staywell) and I get spare magnets from ebay. Plenty cheap

Mine is also a Staywell one, the magnet looks like a little mouse and they sell replacements on Amazon and in Pets at Home.

Great - thanks all. I'm pretty sure ours is Staywell too. Good to know I can get replacements... and no doubt as soon as we buy one the original will turn up

Get a spare too. Cats are the BEST at losing collars at the most inconvenient times!
