    It actually means the card is barely worth having (except for those without other credit facilities). I work for a large, international company and it seems the expenses system is pointlessly different in different countries. I've heard (though not officially) that the company gets some kind of kick-back from Amex.

    It is what it is though; I don't feel the need to jump up and down about it since I only get expenses for the odd week-long training trip a few times a year. And now that I have a cashback credit card, I'll be less inclined to use the Amex even then.
