Surveyors: Home Buyers Report

If you have your own surveyor rather than lenders, you have control of that information. ie, you don't necessarily have to let lender know of any issues you'd rather keep to yourself if you think the lender would pull out. Also, as you and others have said, you have more contact with your own surveyor.
I had a pleasant surprise today when I was told my mortgage valuation will be £180 this time rather than the £300+ we paid last time. We have our own surveyor also charging £500 and he's been great.0 -
Ah £495 sounds familiar, maybe that's what we paid as house is less than £150,000.
I know that after we paid it only took a few days and the surveys were done, had to wait till the following week to receive the report.0
