Central heating plumbed to hot water?
We had a new combined boiler fitted last year. With the weather warming up it has only been the last few weeks that the heating had been off for prolonged periods.
Gradually we have noticed that the front room radiator is still warm, we have switched it to winter mode, set a low temperature but still had a warm radiator.
Today I ran two full baths for the kids and when I went downstairs the radiator was red hot so I can only presume that the plumber has somehow plumbed the heating into the hot water? Its exacerbated by the fact that the front room radiator had no valve to switch it off.
Firstly is this dangerous, is it an easy mistake, is it easy to rectify, has it affected my bills or damaged my boiler and what is best solution?

A Combination boiler has separate hot water and central heating circuits, sounds like a fault on the boiler itself.
There are a few knowledgeable RGIs on the site (not me).
I suggest you post the make and model of your boiler.Questions are a burden to others; answers a prison for oneself0 -
Is the front room rad the first one on the CH circuit?
It shouldn't have a TRV on it if the same zone has a room 'stat or programmer. No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -
Possibly the diverter valve.
Do you find that the hot water isnt getting as hot?
your boiler should be under warranty if it is only a year old so give the manufacturer a call and they should sort it out0
