Annual Charge

I was shocked to find that a £20.00 annual fee has suddenly been added to my Morgan Stanley cashback card. I rang the company to be informed that a flyer had been sent to inform this plus terms & conditions, however I have not received the flyer and there is nothing that I can see in the terms posted in April.
On the back of the last Statement of account in the summary box it states Fees No annual charge. It also gives the registered name and address as Morgan Stanley.
However this months statement now states Fees Annual fee £20.00 and that it is no longer Morgan Stanley but Goldfish.
I was also told that the platinum card carries no charge but at present they are not taking customers for this.
Previously when applying for the platinum card I was refused as I already had a card and could only change to a platinum card if I cancelled the current card & waited three months before applying.
As the main benefit of the card I have was no annual fee & the cashback I am furious to find this has been changed and the charge loaded on to my card before I could cancel.
Have others been stung in this way?
