    By stop, I mean stop saving, stop looking for deals, stop making money, stop the personal economic crusade?

    I was penniless 25 years ago, I had to look after every single penny earned ..... after all that time I now find myself in a very fortunate position, financially.

    At some point in time there was a cross over between me being hard up to me being more prosperous ...... at that time I could have loosened the purse strings, but didn't - or couldn't!

    I still find myself standing in Poundland holding something for 15 minutes while I debate whether I should buy it ..... which, considering I could have many pounds drop from my pockets without me even noticing, is pathetic!

    Am I doomed? Will I remain forever cautious, forever tight, forever scrimping?

    Has anyone actually broken the cycle and stopped in enough time to spend and live life like money is no object - because, of course, at my time of life it isn't anymore.

    Yet even more gloom from the old miser.

    The rest of us are doing a lot better than you and having lots of money to spend and help the economy.

    Anyone spare Mr Ree/Pricklepants a fiver?:rotfl::rotfl:

    Now you are maybe showing signs of what everyone says ....... I will not believe that you are such a person, I'm sure that you are kind and generous and lovely.
