    Depends where you are based. £5 -£10 a metre is about right. B & Q charge you £19 but pay their fitter probably £5 a metre. Many builders will also sub it out and have a mark up.

    The fitter at £ 5 will do it all day, every day so will be quick and know how long it will take him and know what he wants for a days work etc.
    Eat vegetables and fear no creditors, rather than eat duck and hide.
  • Sounds ok to me. The fitting charged by B&Q for anything is about twice what you can get from an independent (or so I have seen from their quotes).
    Thinking critically since 1996....
