Winter Sunshine Holiday

Folks, can anyone suggest a winter sunshine destination? We are willing to travel 4 or 5 hours in search of some guaranteed sun. Going for week in November. Any advice on hotels would also be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I have not been but fancy the idea of Ghana ,,
I don't really have much info ..The only thing I know is that they are on our time zone ..So with it being only a weeks holiday ..you won't have to worry about any kind of jet lag.
  • Egypt either Sharm el Sheikh or Hurghada. Nit long flight though as os about 5.5 hours.

Hot and sunny during the day but fairly cool at night and reasonable prices in November. I was there for 2 weeks all inclusive last November cost £410 including bags and transfers from Luton.

Thank you very much, would you be able to recommend a hotel? I believe they are all very much of a decent standard.

Do you mean The Gambia. I have not heard of Ghana being a holiday destination.

Believe it or not, early November last year we wee on the beach every day on Costa del Sol. Cheap as chips, apartment £100 for the week, return flights £60 each.
I realise sun is not guaranteed every year and we may just have got lucky but we had a great time.

Lanzarote has good weather all year around. My sister went in October and my parents in Jan/Feb time and it was still warm. You would just need a light jacket/cardigan for night time.

Definitely Egypt, we went in April for guaranteed sun.

We didn't stay at this hotel, but really liked the look of it/location: http://www.soho-sharm.com
