Asking for information. from Council Planning

I am in a situation where mediation will soon be taking place, regarding a family dispute. I have a very supportive solicitor. Someone has reported me to the Planning Council. Will my solicitor be able to get the information as to who reported me, as I am collecting all the false allegations and lies said about me, as this will be evidence in mediation.

Any help appreciated. Thanks

Yes it involves a will, but due to the sensitive nature, and I have been harassed mentally, Sorry I cannot afford to give out anymore information. Hope people understand.

I don't think anyone can give advice without more information.

Best see what your solicitor says.

This was my only question I was asking.

Will my solicitor be able to get the information as to who reported me?

All I wanted to know was how the law stands with disclosing that information.

The simple answer is not without a court order. The Data Protection Act stops that information being given out. Then of course there is the possibility it was given anonymously

    Thanks Rob.

I found this under Court Order Wikipedia

]An order can be as simple as setting a date for trial.

    This has already been done.
But trying to get it resolved first by mediation.

In this case the court would have to be petitioned to have the council release the name of the person that informed them of any issue they had with the works you may or may not have carried out. The court would have to listen to arguments from your solicitor and the councils after which they would rule. I can tell you that the council would argue that to divulge the information they received in confidence would be likely to stop others coming forward to give information.

I really cant think of any argument that you could use to obtain that information although if you were being harassed with multiple complaints of this nature and you believed it to be one person the court may order that the council say yes or no as to whether it was that person. The issues you have here are the costs involved. Id personally just ignore the complaint and move on

Thanks Rob for all your expertise.

I presume your message refers to if it was going to court. Which it could still do if mediation is not successful. Both sides are hoping for mediation, if the other side doesn't keep delaying it and making excuses, as I have a lot of evidence against them. So they were hoping I would have given in, by trying to mentally break me.
