Definitely not GPEOL as they seem to imagine they can fine people:
http://www.linkparking.co.uk/Link-Parking-ltd-contract.1.pdf
I would download and save that, best defence document I have ever seen made freely available in the public domain.Be happy...;)0 -
And the IPC passed that as contractual agreement sign? Pathetic! Just use coupon's appeal letter to them, don't alter anything in that letter apart from adding your details to it. Also when you post it get a free proof of postage from the post office, and send it online if possibleWhen posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. PMSL , Really? No PCN’S may be removed from any vehicle nor may any advisory signs be removed unless such a removal is by the Company or its agent.
So they do fine people then, and the IPC agreed these terms? The company will collect a fine from the owners, agents or otherwise of offending vehicles and such fine will not exceed
£60.00 or such fines as displayed on notice boards..
Who would sign such a contract for god's sake?By the client. This agreement shall remain in force for the minimum period of 12 months from the date from the date hereof and shall continue thereafter for the same period if the client had not given the company 30 days’ notice of cancellation, within the first 30 days of the expiry date of this agreement, by recorded delivery post.By the Company. The company reserves the right to terminate this agreement by giving 60 days’ notice in writing to the Client. When posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. Thanks.
So I'll wait for the NtK, and then send Coupon's letter under 'THE FIRST APPEAL TO THE PPC' (adding my details) to Link in the post and online.
Should I send any particular supporting evidence with it, like the image of the sign or Link's contract (which I've now downloaded), or just the letter itself?
I presume we expect that Link will then likely reject this and I'll have to appeal to the IAS after? Is that right?
If so, would I just send the same letter (i.e. Coupon's) to them?
Thanks so much for all of your help.0 -
A greengrocer's apostrophe is one of these
cabbage's, carrot's lettuce's, there is at least one on their website. You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0 -
Thanks.

Personally I wouldn't send any pictures. And yes Link will probably reject your appeal and then you can apply to IAS. When it comes to IAS I would send them a copy of the contract, highlighting the word 'fine'. Also, one of the pages on their website mentions 'prosecution' which is also highly misleading and inaccurate.0 -
This is funny, have a look at the director of this parking company, and what other ones he's been involved with, don't know what he is doing with his toys lol

Thank you!
When I send Coupon's letter to Link, is it OK to send a self addressed envelope as Link suggest/require here: linkparking.co.uk/Appeals.html
Also, I presume I should include a copy of the NtK, not a copy of the original PCN?
Have you read Link's 'Legalities' section (see the bottom right of Link's webpage)?
Sorry for the questions! We really appreciate the help.0 -
Yes I have read the legalities garbage, it's exactly that! The fact is they don't quote any claims they have submitted, the reason is of course that they have never been there. This lot are cowboys, they would never dare go to court with the overwhelming evidence that they fine people!
As for the SAE stuff, that was removed by the bpa for their members, I'm not sure if it's in the IPC code of practice, but it's worthy of a complaint as that means it costs you money to appeal !When posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. I would complain to the IPC, their code of conduct (http://media.wix.com/ugd/bd9e08_a2dad1a02f8ea46a76b78ba0982af9a3.pdf), sets out in Part 6 (page 11), that:
6.1(b) - They must allow at least 21 days for appeals - Link (according to their website) only allow 14
6.4 - You must not require the motorist or keeper to submit a stamped-addressed envelope as a pre-requisite for an appeal - also breached by Link0
