  • Does anyone know where the cheapest place is for Grape Caymans in a size 8?

I can find other colours for under £20 delivered at a few places, but not these.

Grape is the new colour so unlikely to get any offers at the mo. I haven't seen them that cheap, sorry.

Me again (sorry :o ). I ended up ordering a couple of half price pairs of Caymans from Office to tide me over the winter (will treat myself to the grape ones in the spring).

The crocs I own now (first and only pair) were made in Italy - lovely and soft from the start and wide fitting. The ones that arrived today from Office have made in China on them - they're harder (sole is thinner - you can tell as soon as you put your foot in) and visibly narrower, and the quality just isn't right (sole/tread not finished properly - you can see where it was poured into the mould) - is this normal?

Have I now got to track down Italy ones every time, or have they all altered over the past year since I bought my first pair and this is now the norm?

I don't think any of mine were made in Italy but just checked the ones I'm wearing (Next sale) and they are made in China, my original ones were USA but they are now made in several countries and Taylorshoes always point out that there can be differences.

I wonder though if your first pair are actually Beach as they are slightly wider although they look exactly the same? You can tell which are which by the pattern on the top at the front as the Beach has a pointy bit whereas Cayman has no pointy bits!

    Thanks for the reply :)

The first pair are definitely Cayman (Hubby has Beach so I was able to compare them), so I think it must just be factory variations.

I have been wearing one pair round the house for the last hour or so, and they are starting to feel better now they're warming up, but they're definitely a smaller cut, even allowing for any stretching the old ones might have had.

Don't know about the second pair though - can't wear them as there are lots of little sharp bits from the moulding process that are rubbing my feet - can't feel them with my hand, or see them, but as soon as I walk in them - ouch! Think I'll have to stick some socks on for a few days whilst they bed down, lol.

    :)

Thanks very much for that! I ordered some from here last week before the sale, but I've just ordered some more for me and my hubby (who I've recently converted!). They are very quick delivering too.

How very annoying to find that sweetfeetshoes are no longer on Quidco though :(
