I'm with you there and hence I gave in and bought a pair of black with black lining so they don't look too bad.

I used sweet feet to buy the gold sassari and gold caymans recently. They had sale on so both came to less than £50 in total with free postage. (Didn't track through quidco though).

The sassari are a completely different fit than the ones I got from Taylors, it is quite wierd they look and feel like different styles. The gold though is lovely, it gives your feet a lovely rosy glow and is my new favourite colour!

I'm not convinced on the mammoths...

I've got 3 pairs of caymans now - all in bright colours :D plus flip flops which are great (rubbed toes for first day and a bit).

I'm hesitant over the mammoths... what would you wear them with? Also. for the winter, I work in a cold draughty environment and got some Emu's last year - do Croc's do boot type things? They are so comfortable.

Also, the mammoths, they have a fur lining, the others don't and your feet don't really sweat... but if they did, they are washable. You are saying that the furry ones don't wash up that well. Could they get a bit smelly?

  • No they don't get smelly but the ones with a creamish furry lining do get dirty, think wet trouser legs brushing on them, and I have found that the lining is too difficult to remove so just throw them in the washing machine complete.

I was at Disneyland Paris in the winter time and wore them all day without any socks and didn't feel my feet cold at all.

It depends whether you have whiffy feet I think, because my mammoths reek :o

BUT, they do wash easily as Edinburghlass says - straight in the washer on a low setting and they come out beautiful!

My mammoths do not smell either. I take the linings off to wash them but they still look grubby. I wear mine with jeans - what else! They are my default going out shoe (except for work!) even in summer as I'm usually cold and can walk unlimited distances in Mammoths which I can't in any other shoe Ive ever owned. I've also worn them with 3/4 trousers and they look fine

    Anyone got Troikas?

Mine came yesterday and while they fit perfectly in the usual places, the tough "band" part across the top of my foot seems inflexible and hard. Are my feet higher than normal feet????

I have taken the tags off now cos they look fab but wondering if I am going to be able to soften up the top part with wear... Plus, they make tremendous farty noises if you wear them sockless...

Does anyone know where you can get the kids Georgies (wellies) on the high street?

I need three pairs (three kids) but I don't want to go with mail order as they all have funny-sized feet - they don't fit normal wellies, and I've been told these should do the trick.

I don't want to have to pay the return postage umpteen times, so I need somewhere with a range of sizes so we can try a few on at the same time.
