Malwarebytes not downloading from filehippo

Malwarebytes seems to have disappeared off hubby's laptop.
I am trying to redownload it using one of closed's links. It takes me to the scan or run box. I have clicked either of them. They register but don't do much else. There is no progess in terms of it downloading. I suspect there is some sort of virus on there. There was a recent spate of dodgy emails from hubby's email address to all his contacts.
Any ideas? The laptop is also running avast on windows 8.
