Hope someone kind can help me asap:j
I will tell u brief story
Parked on pub car park few months back
Forgot to get a pay and display ticket ( mind was elsewhere )
They didn't used to charge there if you had a blue badge
Well I found a private charge notice £50 if I paid within a week or two
I rang them Local Parking Security Ltd Stratford on Avon
Lady there seemed understanding and told me to appeal to POPLA
Local police and CAB said don't worry just ignore Police said they won't win in court but I now see only 45% win in court hmmmm
I joined pepipoo but no replies
I appealed and heard nothing till March a further higher charge now from LPS cuz I didn't pay the £75 which was now due as my appeal rejected ( first I knew of it )
In fact it would now be £85 and rising and £110 soon if I did not pay up
So I sent a letter and posted £10 cheque to cover my parking fee which was generous
They returned it lol
Now I have a letter from recovery folk Quest
They said I now owe another £55 on too
Total £165
I am so stressed and upset
Should l pay I fear I will lose now

Okay did you actually appeal to them in writing? You can't go to popla with a rejection from the parking company and given a popla verification code.

If you appealed and they did not reply with a POPLA code then this is the equivalent of you having their balls in a vice and your hand on the lever. It is them who should be worried, not you.

Please confirm you appealed, and they replied and they did not reply with a POPLA code

I know it's a simple typo stroma, but op may need to see 'You can't go to popla without a rejection from the parking company and a popla verification code.'

Do you mean you lost the appeal to the PPC and now have a POPLA code? What's the expiry of the POPLA code (check the link in post #3 of the NEWBIES thread, POPLA code checker.

Or did you send a sadly 'non-forum helped' POPLA appeal off and lost? You don't have to pay but should do better research if they try a small claim as he defence is similar to a decent POPLA appeal and it's not about 'what happened'.

Erm I think I was given a code yes and I sent that with my appeal it was on the actual charge notice I first had
As regards a response from the guys I sent the appeal to presumably POPLA I did not get a response from them
The parking company told me I had failed in March this year ( was supposed to hear from POPLA by February this year ) and hence I now owes them more money etc

How many appeals have you placed - 1 or 2 ?

How did you send your appeal to popla? Email or post?
Did you get an acknowledgement stating your likely adjudication date?
Did you get an evidence pack from PE?

Once we know this we can advise.

No evidence received from LPS (not PE) means the case can be revisited by POPLA. Did you receive any EVIDENCE from LPS after you did the wasted POPLA appeal????

What a shame you didn't come here earlier and use our 100% winning POPLA words.
