It would be worth letting very know that he has now received the parcel safely and that it had been delivered to the wrong town.

As for a complaint, it has only been a week since ordering and a few days since incorrect delivery, they are probably still investigating it, it would take more than an hour to go back to courier and wait for a reply.

We are going to let them know but partner is at work and they won't talk to me because I'm not the account holder.

When Very said they would ring back they specified that they would contact the delivery driver and ring back the day after. That was on Tuesday evening. This is an expensive item so I think we should have had some sort of update from them by now! They have my partners mobile, work and home number but they haven't tried to ring on any of them.

The delivery driver made a mistake, it happens. You eventually got your parcel, what do you think you have any 'rights' to?

Yes, is was shoddy service by the courier, but if the neighbour of the wrong address had not delivered it to you Very would have sent another one, I can't fathom what you want to happen next.
