MET parking services fine

Hi there, I'm a bit confused as to what to do about a parking fine I received last week.
I parked in a McDonald's carpark and left the car park for about 10 minutes to go to the market next door (the market is held in the only pay and display car park in the town centre)! 1 minute after I'd left my car, a ticket for £100 (or £50 if I pay within 14 days) was left under my wiper. They must have watched me walk out the car park!
I'm a student so definitely cannot afford to pay this!
They've taken photographic evidence of my car being parked there without me sitting in it.
I'm half tempted to just ignore it completely because I understand that if they cannot prove it was me driving the car then they cannot enforce the fine. But it says in the small print at the back that if I don't pay up then they have the right to claim my details from the DVLA. Is this true?
Hope someone can help me please cause I'm getting a bit worried!
Thanks

Babs. You need to read the 'newbies' thread at the top of the parking board. This tells you all you need to know about this charge (it's not a fine) and how to make it go away.0

Are you the registered keeper of the vehicle? Is this England or Wales ? Have you made complaints to McDonald's yet?
And by the way it's not a fine, just a poxy invoice from a tin pot scammy parking company
