Hi DFW's,

June already, this year is really flying by. I've just posted my monthly update above and updated my signature. I'm definitely back on track now and I'm happy overall with my progress in the first 5 months of the year. I just worked out that I have cleared 85% of my debt so far. 15% to go, I'm definitely on the home stretch.

I got approved for the new credit card and will transfer the balance when it arrives, I have 0% for 9 months, delighted with that. My current card had ran out of 0% back in March so I've been paying interest at 20.7% APR!! Cant wait to transfer the balance and cut up the old card.

Payday is tomorrow so I can make another dent in the debt balance then & have a smaller balance to transfer over, onwards & downwards!

Hi DFW's,

I'm getting so bad at updating this! Not much to report, payday was Friday and I paid €100 off the credit card. I am waiting on new credit card to arrive so I can do the balance transfer. I should be able to pay another bit off later this week. Debt total now €3350.

Afternoon DFW's,

So my new credit card arrived yesterday and I rang today to organize the balance transfer - 0% for 9 months. It should only take 1-2 business days to complete the transfer so my current credit card should be clear by the end of the week/early next week and then I can start paying down on the new one interest free. I hope to be debt free in 4 months so delighted with the 0% balance transfer, it will save me a bit of interest anyway.

A good friend emigrated to Canada yesterday so once debt is clear I hope to start saving so I can go over and visit her! So I am determined to get debt free ASAP!

I am really getting so bad at updating this diary, its been over a week!

Latest update is credit card balance transfer is now complete and old credit card is no more. I worked out that I paid over €90 in interest in the last couple of months since my 0% ran out on that card!! So at least now the new card is at 0% and all money I pay off will go off the balance, no more pesky interest! Today is payday so I have paid another €250 off the card so debt balance now stands at €3,100 and signature updated

I am hoping to pay more off before 1st July as my next payday is 30th June So hopefully I will be going into July below the 3k mark.

Hope you all have a fab weekend, weather is meant to be good in Ireland (for a change!)

Only €250 paid off debt this month due to back to school bills and unplanned mini garden makeover! Definitely not going to make my end of October goal, so going to try for year end instead, at least all my debt is at 0% and I should be able to ramp up the debt repayments now. At least its going in the right direction, I feel like I've come a long way this year

Morning DFW's,

I havent been posting here much lately. Today is payday and I've paid another €250 off the credit card which brings by debt total down to €2100. I'm ridiculously happy as this is just below 10% of my original debt mountain, a bit of a milestone for me today. I've never got this far in any previous debt-busting attempts. Finally on the home stretch and determined to be debt-free in the very near future!

Didn't want to just read and run - well done for getting to 10% of your original debt! Such an achievement Not long to go now and then you will be jetting off to Canada before you know it!
