Advice

I took out a nationwide loan last year, everything's been going fine until this month when I made my normal payment one day late due to an oversight whilst switching bank accounts, the payment was due on the first April and was paid on the second of April but my credit file was updated on the 2nd with an update date of the 06/04 it doesn't say late payment it does however, say that my balance has increased, I've dug out all the T&c's but the amounts assuming they were charges just don't add up. I've spoken to a nationwide agent who confirmed my balance sits at £3,017 yet my file say £3118 and the month prior to that said £3,075, very confusing just wondered if anybody could shed any light.

Experien have contacted nationwide on my behalf as they too are confused as to why the balance has increased so I wait their response. I'm hoping it's just an error and they put it right, I've spent 10 years getting myself in a better financial position and would be extremely annoyed if one late payment affected the next 6 years of my credit history.

Hopefully nationwide will see sense and amend it, 1 missed payment on a well managed credit file will have little impact long term.
