I got a H-L freepost envelope through the post this morning ... ah, so nostalgic. I threw away the other stuff but kept the envelope as a reminder of happier times. Sigh.
Mind you, nostalgia's not what it used to be ... so I threw that away too.

I'm hanging on to one or two until my transfer away from them is complete. I hope the paper envelopes do not deteriorate too quickly - who knows how long they will need to last!

Put a Balti or UPVC junk leaflet in and send it back to them?

Aw, you exaggerate. They are bound to last the year or two or three until everything is done and dusted ... by which time we may be begging them to take us back.I'm hanging on to one or two until my transfer away from them is complete. My bathroom floor is tiled, and if I'm not wearing socks I find them useful when reading the rest of my mail

I still receive them as part of the excellent service I get from HL, haven't you lot left yet?0

It seems I've received another one today, so I guess I'm still on the mailing list. At least I'll always be able to use the envelope to update my marketing preferences.I still receive them as part of the excellent service I get from HL, haven't you lot left yet?
Apparently transfers take time. Two and a bit months is enough to get some of the work done, but if you insisted on buying funds from a number of different unit trust managers like I did, then there are lots of letters to write and post, cheques and paperwork to sign, etc etc. If only we had an electronic means to exchange information and transfer money...0 -

I'm not with HL and I also get these0

Oh dear. It's a bit like the ancient mariner, once you get on their list you can NEVER, EVER get off ... but you are forced to go round the world telling anyone who'll listen - and those who won't - your harrowing tale.I'm not with HL and I also get these
Let's hear it for albatrosses.0
