Ok so we have found the car we want to buy, trouble is that the only one we can find is an EH car, 7 months old and registered to them.
But I find their selling confusing. Their price on the internet is the price for the day and can go up and down daily!
Also it is not open to negotiation? As a favour they will pay the £99 admin fee for me?
What a load of carp, I would go else where if I could find the car.
So is all this true and how did you get on with negotiating with EH?
I will not buy any of the extras they will, I am sure, try to sell me.

7 months old probably a EH demonstrator .
Demo vehicles are run by all dealers as a franchise requirement . They are in effect the car that those who work for the company and are entitled to a car use .
Demos are sold on at varying time scales .
Positives are the fact that they are cheaper to buy usually than new price . Anything wrong is picked up and fixed within the dealership .
Buy a new car never its always better to buy ex demo .
  • Everything is open to negotiation, whatever they say.

Do you really think they will turn you away for a few quid off if you roll up with £10/15/20k burning a hole in your pocket ?
  • Just bought a new Nissan from them and negotiated a very good price, below the drive the deal price. Need to do your homework and take in alternative prices. As you say that this is the only one available, they may have you over a barrel on this.

Can you not find a car that is more common? What us it by the way?

Do you mean they add a £99 admin fee, only so they can take it off later as part of their 'deal'? Personally, I would steer clear of any company that adds such a fee, whether for a car or anything else.

Yup they add the fee on, and when I did a test drive they wouldn't even offer to waive it.

I walked away but they were fairly busy so must shift a fair few motors anyway.

Thanks for your views, the car is a Nissan Juke Acentia auto with premium pack. the price is nearly £1k less than a similar one 200 miles away.
Yes it was/is a demonstrater, under 10k on the clock, difficult to find even a new one.
My wife has fallen for it and it must be auto due to her back problem.
Will negotiate hard, know max I want to pay over the trade in.
Just never heard a salesman with these rules/attitude!
Tried Autoqhake and they couldn't find one.

Well we pick it up this afternoon, got £150 off (only) after strong negotiating and walking away for a few days. Plus 6 months tax and £20 of fuel.
I have bought quite q few cars in the past but never had such a difficult lot to deal with! I still can't believe they check the prices daily and move them up and down depending on what other people are selling for.
