Hi,

Looking for some advice, around June time I will need to buy a car as I will be working for a year (the following year I will be back at uni)

I passed my test in Dec 2013, so new driver, currently insured on my mums car- but will need my own.

I have a budget of around £3000 for the car, but need low insurance (parents will pay for insurance and I will pay them back when i'm working)

The journey is around 30 miles each way.

Have been looking at C1's and 107's, as well as older c3's

Thanks for your help

Try the insurance 1st. Try the cars you mentioned then try some larger cars that learners and newly qualified drivers will not tend to choose.

An old grandad special. A little while back i got a quote on an older 1700cc Volvo. It was cheaper to insure that the usual selection of 1000cc or less cars that most new drivers choose. Probably a lot safer in a crash also.

Anything with 4 wheels will fit your bill.
