Flow Energy - New provider

Ah I found a post on their facebook page which says they will take all of the feed-in-tariff/FIT payments for the first 5 years then after that it's shared (the video missed that bit out!). So that's probably how you actually fully pay off the cost of 'free' boiler and how they make a profit, they continuously take a share of FIT.
This raises other questions though: for how long? what's your share? what if you want to switch energy suppliers after 5 years, do you have to pay off any remaining balance on the boiler? or do they continue to take a share of FIT? or will they take the boiler away? etc.
Agree the tech is interesting, and I would love to have one, but it doesn't look like Flow's boiler offer would be for me.0 -
Just switched with EDF Fix coming to end 30 April-Cheapest dual fuel for me by £40 PLUS Cashback through Energylinx of £32 PLUS no Exit Fee if it all goes wrong!
How did you get cashback on switching to Flow? it doesn't look like you can click through to Flow from Energylinx hence no cashback(?)0 -

Flow supply the boiler for free, you pay the installation costs. They collect the feed in tariff as you suggest for 5 Years which pays for the boiler. They get cheap electricity which is also why the tariffs are so good. After 5 years the boiler is yours and you get the feed in tariff. Unlike the PV tariff the feed in tariff for CHP boilers only runs for 10 years. After 5 years the boiler is yours. I have been watching Flow Energy keenly for some time, I am so keen I have their shares in my ISA, I am hoping the profit will buy me a boiler! I have just switched from Co op Energy to Flowenergy and will make a £100 a year saving.
I am just waiting for the boiler to be released to see if the numbers stack up. They certainly didn't when BG quoted me £8k for their micro CHP Ecogen boiler about 4 years ago. There might even be an option to purchase the boiler outright from day one so you can collect the feed in tariff, again will have to see if the numbers stack up. I find this an exciting new way forward and hope it gives the big players a b***dy nose. Flow looks to me like a very clever way of doing business, become a shareholder and you win either way!0 -

That's very surprising as IGT customers are instantly recognisable from their m-number - 10 digits starting 74 or 75 or 76.0 -
Thanks but you only get cashback if you make the switch using energylinx.
Flow is listed on energylinx but there is no link to make the switch on energylinx, hence I don't think topcashback will register your cashback unfortunately.
I guess anything is possible in the land of make believe0 -
