Boiler - ideal logic + versus baxi platinum

Hi, after some friendly advice if possible.
I'm looking at replacing our old boiler. 2 makes I've had mentioned are the ideal logic plus - 7 yr warranty, and the baxi platinum -10 yr warranty. Anyone had good/bad experiences?

Thanks in advance for any help given.

Ideals are notoriously unreliable (my own opinion, as a gas engineer). Go with the Baxi.

I would agree if we were talking about icos or isar's but think about the ideal boilers of old ideal classic for example a great boiler which is fixable blindfolded.


I see plenty of the new logic boiler and have not had any bad comments about the logic or for that matter baxi.

Oh yeah sorry I did mean condensing Ideals, classics are great to work on.

For a purchase of that cost, I would get a copy of the WHICH survey of all the gas/oil boilers on the market.


If not a member of WHICH, go to a library or you can buy from WHICH for £1.
