Speak to the landlord.
But the agents have an agreement with the landlord to manage the property - they are in effect, a direct window through to the landlord. Many landlords don't wish to be contacted directly by tenants - they pay agents as an intermediary to cut out the hassle.
A tenant does have the legal right to their landlord's name and address.

They are - in reality - an indirect filter through to the landlord. And a filter is exactly what the OP does NOT need right now.
If the landlord says "Look, I'd rather leave it all in the hands of the agents", then - fine. You know where you stand. Maybe the agents will agree, maybe they won't. But you know the landlord will agree.
If the landlord says "Oh, right. Thanks for phoning. Yes, in the circumstances, I'm happy to come to a mutually beneficial agreement.", then - GREAT. The landlord employs the agents, so you KNOW the agents will go with this.0 -
Big Aunty is right. Landlords go via letting agents so tenants do not contact them at their home address everything is via the letting agents, they manage the money and sort out any problems, the agents get the rent paid to them by the tenant and in turn pay landlords after taking a monthly fee.
The letting agents must be informed first as they collect the rent, they in turn will contact the landlord.
I expect if the rent is overdue and in arrears the landlord will very soon if not already contacted the letting agents.0
