Your opinion on used 308 deal

Options
Hello - I've put down a deposit on an approved used 308, with the total purchase price being 6.5K. The car is a 10 reg, with two previous owners, 20K miles and FSH. As part of the deal I will get:

Servicing
1yr warranty
1yr MOT
1yr tax

What do you think of this deal?

when is it due if just done then you have a long time to the next and usually free service is limited to the first year, usual jargon spinner to sound like your getting something for nothing.
1yr warranty --that covers what exactly, most warranties covers approx. 5% of the car the rest of the car is in the exceptions of what they don't cover.
    1yr MOT-MOT £25.00 jobby onto the next.
1yr tax-probably the biggest freebe they'll give you. is it the £45.00 VED?

so no flaps?, no matts?, no tank of fuel?, no pug keyring?, no pug pen, no pug mug? no pug metal dust caps?

I suppose its better than nothing.

How does this one compare? £1000 cheaper. There are cheaper ones in the autotrader also. From less than £4000 but over 100,000 miles. Under £5000 with less than 50,000 miles.

I'll double check about the servicing. The car is due a full service every two years or 20K miles.

I'm not sure how the warranty compares with others: http://www.servicing.peugeot.co.uk/media/deliacms/media/45/4504-09afda.pdf

According to the DVLA website, the tax for the 308 is around £200 -not sure where the 45 figure is from. If the 45 is correct, then I will cancel the deal. Stupid question - but there is only one type of road tax??:o

haha...pug mug aside, I hadn't thought about the mats/caps etc. Although I did ask for a full tank of fuel and was told this would not be possible. I'll try for this when/if I go in to conclude the deal.

I did have a good look through Autotrader and figured the mechanical check from the assured programme, 30-day fault return policy, 1yr warranty, full road tax, servicing, mot and low mileage all adds up to make the deal look on par with some of the cheaper offerings. But if I've misunderstood the servicing and tax side of things then I will renogitiate or cancel.

Tax is about right, yes VED has a varying degree to certain cars with CO2 output, less the less tax more the more tax you pay. the new oxy 308 has zero VED and some with £45,00 VED with start stop tech.

Your free service and MOT etc dont add up to the £1000 cheaper cars on autotrader. Dont forget they are advertised prices also. So you may get more knocked off those also.

If your happy with the deal then carry on.
