Atrocious service Bootham Removals York.

Need to let some steam off about a removals company in York that go under the name of Bootham Removals York.

My mother in law had booked them to move her out of her home and put her belongings into storage whilst we are in the process of building her an extension. The removal day way scheduled for today 4/4/14.

Sadly my Mother in law passed away Wednesday evening very suddenly. Yesterday morning I took on the task (to save my wife's anguish) of notifying people of her passing as you do, one of them being the removal company. I phoned and explained the circumstances that the removal was now not necessary and that I was cancelling it, the lady at the removals apologised and cancelled the arrangement to move.

So later on in the morning my wife's mobile rang, it was the removal company.... they had sent a van around there to move her stuff.
Not only a day early but also after I had cancelled their service.

Last night I wrote an email to them, they didn't even have the decency to write back and apologise.

So Avoid BOOTHAM REMOVALS YORK - they are useless and their customer service is worse than worse ( cant use expletives ).
