Civil Partnership Parking

Hi all,
I took possession of a brand new motability car on 31.3.14, there was no tax disc on the car as the dealer & Motability informed me that the disc must now come from DVLA thru post and that it was legal for me to use the car as normal for 14 days. I parked in my parking space outside my flat for which I pay £80 per year, I was displaying a valid parking permit, however on 3.4.14 I received a ticket because I was not displaying a tax disc. The disc arrived from DVLA today 4.4.14 & is now affixed. I don't believe I have contravened any conditions or indeed the law & I don't intend to pay these scurrilous charges. I have contacted my Landlord and informed them, but my question is I continue to park in that space, if I don't pay can they take the car, I am the registered keeper but as it is a motability car ( I am disabled) I do not own it. Advice please !!

Can you please confirm the exact name of the ticketing organisation please?
Was the parking on private property or on the highway? Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.
