Private Parkimg Ticket Affecting Credit Rating

I have had many private parking tickets from the hospital where I work, which I have always ignored and heard no more. However, I have recently had a letter from 'Lowell' law firm, demanding money (just for one unpaid parking ticket) this is also on my experien credit report as a negative mark. Is there anyway to remove this from my credit file? I am doing everything I can to improve my current credit file to get a mortgage in the future.
I welcome any advice.
Thanks

I doubt it if it is already marked on there, the damage may already have been done. Are you sure it's definitely for a private parking ticket? If so why didn't you appeal or go to court to contest it?

The last time I came across them Lowell's are simple debt collectors.

If you have not been taken to court and the "negative mark" is unrelated to a credit agreement I'm not sure how it could have gone on there. What does the credit report actually say about it or is this a "copy" of an Experian report that Lowell's have sent you?
My very sincere apologies for those hoping to request off-board assistance but I am now so inundated with requests that in order to do justice to those "already in the system" I am no longer accepting PM's and am unlikely to do so for the foreseeable future (August 2016). :(

For those seeking more detailed advice and guidance regarding small claims cases arising from private parking issues I recommend that you visit the Private Parking forum on PePiPoo.com

I suggest this 'negative mark' is not about a fake PCN at all and it must be something else. You would know if you'd lost in court against a PPC or anyone else, utility bill etc - unless you moved house and didn't get post forwarded or didn't update the DVLA with your keeper address?

Without losing in court, a CCJ cannot happen:

and the only other sort of credit rating mark could be if you have defaulted on a credit agreement (a loan or credit card, mail order etc., including late payments). A fake PCN isn't covered by any credit agreement of course.

Show us the Lowells letter please. Take a photo if no scanner, and host it on tinypic of photobucket. Post a partial link here (remove the http:// as you cannot post working links yet).
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
