slow cooker - minor disaster!

Options
Hi there
I use my slow cooker quite a lot, especially in winter for casseroles, mince etc.

One of my favourite ones is neck of lamb casserole. For some reason, last night I made a big mistake and I wonder if anyone has any suggestions howI can save the situation (I HATE to waste food- like all MSE'ers!)

Don't ask me why but I added about a teaspoon of dried cumin to the casserole liquid...and as soon as I went downstairs this morning and smelled the results, I thought oh oh...that smells vile!

I just tasted it...it IS vile!

And the good thing usually about slow cooking is the well-developed flavours! Well and good when its a nice flavour, but this is disgusting!

I thought of draining away all the existing liquid and making a more bland lamb oxo mix to replace it? Other than that it might be the bin if no one has any other ideas? Please!
p.s. OH hates curry and chilli so those flavours are out:(

if you've added cumin to lamb you should have something that resembles kebab meat...i would make either shish or donar kebabs with it.

Go down the tagine route? You could add some dried apricots, a bit of honey, some cinnamon, pinch of chilli, ginger, saffron, some stock and serve it over cous cous.
