The Avast voice is getting on my nervous

Does anyone know if I can turn the voice of my avast antivirus?

    It will be in Settings and notifications, an option to untick. It's been a while since I used Avast! but it'll be in there somewhere.

    Settings > Sounds > Uncheck use voiceover sounds > OK

    If it's just the sound of the voice getting on your nerves, you can download others. There is a Yorkshire accent and a Pirate amongst others..
    That said, switching it off is the best way to go..:D

    I was browsing Ebuyer the other day, and on every item page Avast popped up that it had blocked a malicious page, and the voice says "Oh dear!......" :D

    I'm presuming it was false postives? Unless Ebuyer is infected? :eek:

    Probably an advert on the page. Adblock would cure that problem (assuming Firefox or Chrome browser).

    I guess that is for v9? The details I posted were for v8. I hated v9 so reverted back.
