Who supplies our fuel?

Does anyone know who supplies our various fuel stations? Where does it come from and what is added to each different suppliers fuel?
I presumed it all came from the nearest distribution points or from the nearest refineries?
"EDIT"
I didn't exactly put my question down as good as I could have
So here goes.
Pretty sure they all get fuel from the same or closest distribution points /Refineries but I am interested in what get's added to each suppliers fuel?
I get a noticeable MPG from different stations, SHELL seems to be the better for me and Morrisons the worst but I also fill up at ASDA and JET so I was wondering why I get better MPG from one to the others.

What is it that you are getting at? Fuels are produced to a standard specification, supermarkets can afford to sell with less mark up, Asda do not sell super unleaded.0

Do a search, this has been covered before loads of times.
I make biodiesel in my garage. There's other guys all over the place do the same.
I put something in my bio to kill off bacteria. Others don't. They use an additive that boosts the cetane value. I don't.
It's not about the fuel that's produced, it's about what gets added after.0 -
Well, a long long time ago there was some algae and zooplankton living in the sea...0

You can get a treatment for that too.0 -
An interesting question and a current topic in the Highlands just now. It appears that in that area one company has the monopoly on supplies. This is now the subject for an OFT investigation.
I would guess that a similar situation may exist in other areas.

There are a small handful of refineries around the UK. They turn the crude oil (which arrives via pipeline from the North Sea and the continent, also via tanker ship from elsewhere) into the various refined products - including petrol and diesel. They're then distributed via pipeline around the UK to the regional distribution depots, where they're stored in giant tanks.
(Remember Buncefield?)
The tankers are filled at the depots, with all products coming from the same tanks regardless of brand. The ONLY difference brand-to-brand are the addition of small brand-specific additive packages at the time of filling the tanker.
There's very likely a bigger difference station-to-station because of what's lurking in the bottom of the tanks...0
